Primary School Programs at PBISS

Key Stage 1 - 2 ( Ages 5 - 11 years )

Our Cambridge x STEM+ curriculum in primary school develops English, Mathematics, Science skills, and beyond in young children.

Designed for children aged 5 – 11, our primary school provides learning objectives for each year of primary education. Our STEM+ approach is tailored for students at different ages as we believe that students at different ages require different teaching approaches to bring out their potential.

CAMBRIDGE PRIMARY PROGRESSION TESTS

Our primary school focuses on activity based and hands-on learning while offering our students different learning choices beyond traditional boundaries, letting pupils explore their true interests. We also make sure that our students are meeting global standards by using the Cambridge Primary Progression Tests to assess students throughout the years.

STEM+ GROUND

Our STEM+ Ground is a perpetually evolving real life technology learning centre. Using the various technologies available there, all PBISS students learn key skills and competences. Our pedagogic team continuously develop cross-year and cross-field projects that not only teaches Cambridge curriculum through activities, but also helps students learn what traditional classrooms struggle to teach.

For instance, students learn collaboration, planning, and management of resources through structured projects with goals they contributed to define. Students also acquire key leadership skills, for instance learning how to make decision with incomplete information and create mitigation plans. In addition, the kind of challenges that arise in our real life projects force students to make the most of their knowledge, encouraging them to deeply process and manipulate information in various, personal ways.

BECOMING INDEPENDENT LEARNERS

The subjects are varied and will challenge students. Among other fields, STEM+ Ground has the capabilities to welcome projects centred on renewable energies, water treatment and management, agriculture, livestock, biology, radio communication, control-command, mechanical, electrical, and other technological challenges. Our Cambridge x STEM+ curriculum aims to bring each project beyond the boundaries of a lecture-based lesson to an activity based education outside the class room.

LEARNING BY DOING

We believe that the best way for young minds to grow is through Learning by Doing. This approach helps our primary students explore the world around them in a fun, engaging, and hands-on way!

Instead of just reading or listening, our students actively participate in learning through activities such as:

Math Games and Puzzles – Solving problems through fun and interactive games.
Science Experiments – Mixing, observing, and discovering the magic of science.
Creative Arts and Crafts – Painting, building, and creating with their own hands.
Gardening Projects – Learning about nature and responsibility by growing plants.
Storytelling and Role - Play – Bringing stories to life through drama and imagination.
Cooking Sessions – Understanding measurements, teamwork, and nutrition.

This hands-on method boosts curiosity, improves memory, and builds real-world skills. At PBISS, we make sure every child feels confident, involved, and excited to learn!

We don’t just teach facts—we create experiences that help our students learn deeply and joyfully. With Learning by Doing, every day is an adventure in discovery!
