Secondary School Education in Thailand at PBISS

Key Stages 3 - 5 ( Ages 11 - 18 years )

( Ages 11 - 18 years )

Our advanced year group students require a very specific level of support as they prepare for the A-level examinations and entrance into universities. For them, we run our signature Cambridge Advanced programme which reinforces their progression over their A-level years.

Our Cambridge x STEM+ curriculum strikes the right balance between lecture-based lessons and experiential learning which allow us to maximize the learning experience of our secondary students. We also make sure that our students are meeting global standards by running Cambridge Progression Tests and Cambridge Checkpoint tests in different subjects.

SECONDARY SCHOOL

STEM+ INNOVATION CENTRE

With our STEM+ curriculum, we put focus not only on our methodology but also the necessary facilities and equipment to help our kids to achieve real global standards. We have the best facility in the island to prepare our students for the future where rapid changes in technology occur in everyday life.

The green screen and light settings in the multifunction room allow us to offer effective videography practice for our students. Our engineering corner is a perfect spot for students to build up their knowledge in engineering from electrical system and creating parts to building a walking robot or flying drone.

In our STEM+ room, students can explore further into the technology world. Our kids can get the taste of product design technology with our 3D printers or eve practice design technology technique with advanced laser machine. Our STEM+ Innovation Centre is built out of our strong will to help our students understand themselves early prior to university level as we believe that a marginal difference in any take-off period will yield a gigantic difference over the long run.

For Key Stage 4 and 5 students, our mini-sized meeting rooms offer the best tutoring area for both groups and individuals. These rooms are also fitted for our STEM+ curriculum as Academic Excellence Mentorship and Career Guidance sessions can be arranged efficiently for the students.

HANDS-ON LEARNING AND TEACHING METHODS

We believe that real-world engagement enhances academic understanding. Our Experienced Learning Program for secondary students bridges classroom theory with hands-on practice, helping students connect knowledge to life beyond school walls.

The Experienced Learning program at PBISS Inter School empowers students to become active learners and responsible global citizens. By blending academic rigor with real-life experience, we prepare them not just for exams but for life.

Students maintain reflective journals, present portfolios, and participate in peer evaluations. Teachers and mentors provide feedback that goes beyond grades: focused on growth, collaboration, and impact.

CAMBRIDGEIGCSE

The IGCSE provides a very broad program of study in areas such as languages, social studies, science, mathematics, creative arts, and vocational subjects. In each subject there is a balance between practical and theoretical knowledge but the emphasis in all subjects is skills related to that subject. The curriculum is designed so that students can use examples related to their own experiences and residence.

The nature of the program is such that students of different abilities can follow it. Further it is designed for students whose first language may not be English. Students sit examinations at the end of the IGCSE course, usually year 11. These examinations are marked by experienced external examiners appointed by CIE (Cambridge International Examinations).
